SKETCH
MAYFAIR
Calmness is back at Sketch. The Gallery has been transformed from the backyard garage sale look, to a completely pink and golden room with custom made new porcelain and matching pictures covering parts of the wall and a great golden bar. Designed by British artist, David Shrigley, as a part of the Sketch Gallery concept with a new artist redesign the room every second year.
The Gallery is part of a large restaurant complex - two restaurants, two bars, a patisserie and the crazy toilets (Think Mork and Mindy..) in this amazing restaurant building in Conduit street.
The Lecture Room restaurant is located on the second floor and was awarded the second Michelin star a years ago. The Gallery is more affordable, with wonderful food and nice staff. It has been said of Sketch that Blair eats upstairs while Madonna prefers downstairs.
The awesome toilets are still the same, though. Both the cocoons toilet over the circular bar and the Swarovski crystal toilets are fortunately still there. Great pieces of LED arts are on display throughout the restaurant building, all for sale. The same is all the cutlery hanging from the light shade.
The Parlour lies to the right after entering Sketch. Here you can get both breakfast and later in the day Tea. On the counter you can see some of the lovely cakes and other patisserie to choose from.
